When a famous venue… is no longer just at the heart of the fun, but right in the heart of the community.
The sound of live music, DJs, and laughter is the charm that has made “Nang Len Ekkamai” a legendary venue in this neighborhood for many years.
But in a growing city, when the surrounding area is filled with high-rise condos and residences,
the “fun” inside the venue can turn into “noise pollution” for those around… if not properly designed.
This is the key challenge of this renovation project.

A New Renovation under the Name Nang lenlen
Not just a visual makeover, but a rethinking of acoustics
The transformation of Nang lenlen, designed by K. Jae – Contour
maintains the venue's signature modern Sofa & Living Room concept
, preserving the same relaxed, fun, and welcoming atmosphere.
What has been added, however, is a professional acoustic system
allowing the venue to fully enjoy music without disturbing neighboring residents.

Challenges faced by music venues in residential areas
Surrounded by high-rise condominiums, making it easy for sound to reflect and escape
Live music and DJ performances generate high sound energy; unmanaged sound can disturb the outside
Inside the venue, a lack of proper sound absorption causes echoing, making it uncomfortable to listen to
The challenge is not just “blocking sound out”, but “controlling the entire acoustic system” from the structure down to the interior atmosphere.
When Wall and Ceiling Systems Become the Heart of the Solution
This design chose Trandar Hitech Wall and Trandar Hitech Ceiling to effectively prevent sound from leaking out of the building.
Walls and ceilings do not just act as structures, but are part of the acoustic system that helps "keep the excitement inside."
Meanwhile, the interior also utilizes Trandar Series F
to help reduce reverberation, control sound quality for clarity and listening comfort, whether during live music performances or DJ sets.

Perfect harmony between quietness and excitement
The result of this design is not to dampen the venue's vibrant energy, but to keep every sound frequency properly controlled in its place.
The interior retains its lively and energetic atmosphere
The exterior remains quiet and community-friendly
Customers stay longer thanks to a more comfortable acoustic experience
This is another prime example of design that truly understands "sound".
As part of the experience, not a problem to be fixed at the end.

Nang Lenlen – Ekkamai
proves that.. a music venue can coexist with a residential neighborhood
when the right “acoustic system” is properly designed from the start.
And sometimes…
the best kind of fun is the kind that disturbs no one.
