Pracha Chuen Residence is a home that seems perfect in every dimension: ideally connected, accessible, and convenient. Yet, there is one thing that numbers on paper cannot convey —

This house is located right in the Triangle of Noise.

On one side is the railway, with freight and passenger trains running day and night, bringing vibrations that aren't just heard but felt throughout the body. On another side is the expressway, where engine roars and tire friction against the asphalt never cease. Overhead runs the skytrain, which, although quieter than conventional trains, still transmits structural noise and track vibrations down to the ground.

Being situated amidst three simultaneous noise sources means there is not a single moment in the day when it is truly quiet.

🧩 The Complexity of Triple-Source Noise — Why This Was Far Harder Than a Typical Home

Each noise source has distinct characteristics and requires a tailored approach.

Hitech Wall is designed to block sound traveling through walls across all frequencies, utilizing a multi-layered system that handles reflection, absorption, and structural break-isolation.

What makes Hitech Wall especially suited for this project is its exceptional performance in managing low-frequency noise and vibrations from trains and expressways—noises that conventional walls struggle with the most. By covering all walls facing the noise sources, this home is equipped with a robust, all-around acoustic barrier.

Many people overlook the fact that noise from transit systems and elevated expressways doesn't only travel through walls, but also enters from above through the roof and ceiling.

Hitech Ceiling seals off this final pathway, creating a horizontal acoustic barrier that works seamlessly with Hitech Wall. This fully envelops the entire house in an integrated soundproofing system, leaving no gaps for external noise to find its way in.
