When “Sound” is the Heart of the Worship Hall
Design Must Go Beyond Visible Beauty

Church of Joy in Sukhumvit Soi 39 is one of the projects that prioritizes acoustic quality across all dimensions—from vocal performance,
communication, to an atmosphere of peace and meditation amidst a bustling urban environment filled with people and surrounding activities.

Kru San, a designer from Department of Architecture, started the design process with a clear brief:
the materials had to offer a natural feel, maintain a sleek aesthetic aligned with the design, and, most importantly, provide sound absorption, reduce reverberation, and offer acoustic insulation
to prevent disturbance to surrounding areas. Therefore, Trandar was brought in to collaborate on a comprehensive acoustic solution,
ranging from spatial analysis to simulation modeling to ensure precise acoustic performance prior to actual installation.

Trandar Acoustics designed a custom acoustic system for this worship hall, utilizing
Trandar Hitechceiling for the ceiling area to enhance sound insulation,
Trandar Hitechwall TSIS58 for one sidewall
and Trandar Zivana Wall System on the opposite wall as well as the stage area.
To help reduce echoes and reverberation, all are painted white to blend seamlessly with the architectural design

The result after installation is a space with highly effective acoustic control: clear, soft music without echoes, and no external noise disturbance, paired with an aesthetic that harmonizes with the design concept.
Another project that reflects how properly planned acoustics from the start allows sound to perform its role perfectly, both for the space and the users' experience.
