Being a pub and restaurant, noise issues are inevitable due to background music, lively atmosphere creation, and conversations from nightlife-goers. Excessive noise is a major concern for this entertainment venue, making acoustic boards and soundproofing materials essential to prevent sound leakage and disturbing neighboring guests.

Trandar Zoundboard acoustic board

This project utilized Trandar Zoundboard from Trandar for both acoustic ceiling and acoustic wall systems. Trandar Zoundboard offers exceptional sound insulation properties thanks to the Damping Compound technology embedded within the core, enabling efficient and long-lasting soundproofing. It is resistant to pests and termites, and is safe for residents and the environment.

Once the installation began by the project's expert contractors, it started with the installation ofacoustic ceilingsacross the entire area, opting for TIS-certified galvanized steel framing Trandar Heplar. Cross tees were installed at 60×60 cm intervals, making the framing structure twice as strong and durable as before!

Additionally, screws were driven into the framework andTrandar Zoundboard acoustic panels 10mm., using 7-8 screws per point for a secure acoustic ceiling installation. This was done because the contractors prioritized durability, strength, and absolute assurance against any future installation issues.

For the walls, the Trandar Zoundboard TSIS66 d108 acoustic wall system was used with Trandar Heplar Pro C62 and Trandar Heplar Pro U64 steel framing, along with 2-inch thick dBphon S50 insulation to further enhance sound absorption and sound insulation performance. Additionally, Trandar Zoundboard 15 mm. soundproofing boards were installed to prevent sound from transmitting to the outside. Since the rear of the hotel is adjacent to residential areas, it is essential to use soundproofing boards or acoustic materials during installation to control noise breakout.

In addition, the Trandar Zoundboard TSIS71 d200 acoustic wall system was applied to both sides of the walls. Since the existing structure was a brick masonry wall, the TSIS71 d200 system was suitable, utilizing Trandar Heplar Pro C74 and Trandar Heplar Pro U76 framing.

For the insulation, the hotel chose 3-inch thick dBphon S75 insulation, developed from inorganic wool fibers which offer a high airflow resistance compared to other fiber types. Trandar Zoundboard 15 mm. boards were installed to prevent noise from transmitting outside and into the hotel rooms.
