Transforming with Acoustic Ceilings, Reducing Echo for Sukhumvit Hills Offices

with Trandar AMF Star

Sukhumvit Hills is a 19-storey mixed-use building on Sukhumvit Road.

Developed by URBAN ONNUT COMPANY LIMITED and designed by SV Architects and Associates.

The interior features over 10,000 square meters of rentable office space, along with a 90-room hotel zone.

The building's core concept is "embracing natural light" through wrap-around glass architecture, column-free interiors, and ceilings up to 3 meters high, which create an airy, open, and comfortable atmosphere.

At the same time, however, this introduces challenges with reverberation within the workspace.

When acoustic quality is one of the key functions of the modern office

Trandar Acoustics was involved from the design stage, proposing the Trandar AMF Star acoustic ceiling system, a solution that meets demands in acoustics, performance, and architectural image.

On the 10th floor of the office zone,

Trandar Star panels sized 1200 x 600 x 15 mm with Tegular T15 edges were installed

in conjunction with

Trandar Heplar Pro C Line ceiling suspension system and Trandar T Grid System T15

This acoustic ceiling system helps reduce noise and echo, creating a quieter, softer, and more comfortable working atmosphere. It is ideal for work styles that require concentration and collaborative communication.

Details hidden beneath the ceiling

Trandar AMF Star is a high-quality acoustic ceiling with a smooth surface, dust-free, and contains no paper or cellulose ingredients. It undergoes a dual-surface embossing process delivering an NRC value of up to 0.60 in accordance with ASTM C423 standards.

In addition, it meets international health and environmental standards

including Low VOC A+ and Indoor Air Comfort Gold, along with fire-retardant properties and up to 60 minutes of fire resistance, ensuring long-term safety and peace of mind for building occupants.

Slimmer ceiling grids… for a more premium look

Another highlight of this project is the selection of a slim 15 mm T-bar ceiling grid, which reduces the visible lines between ceiling panels to create a seamless, clean, and modern ceiling aesthetic that perfectly complements the building's architecture.
