Executive Meeting Space where silence is the ultimate design requirement

In certain areas of an organization, "silence" is not just about comfort.

It is about privacy, data security, and high-level decision-making.

BTSG Auditorium Meeting Room - BTS Phaholyothin Office was designed to serve as a private executive meeting room—a space where every conversation must be kept confidential and every communication must be crystal clear without any sound leaking out.

However, due to the spatial structure being surrounded by large, tall glass walls, while the design looks airy, beautiful, and impressive, all of these are Hard Surface walls, which fail to address interior acoustics, causing echoes and reverberation. And that is unsuitable for executive-level meetings that require “confidentiality”, “privacy”, and “speech clarity”.

    

The key challenge of this project goes beyond just ‘soundproofing’.

1) How to effectively acoustically insulate the room

2) The room must be free of echoes, without creating a stifling atmosphere, and conversations must be clear.

3) Still need tomaintain the designer's original concept:

— Double-layered overlapping gable roofs

— Wood-grain surface texture for a warm and premium feel

From all these requirements and leveraging the material expertise of Trandar, we have collaborated todesign a practical acoustic solution that maintains harmony with the original architectural design.

   

AFIBUS — Innovative acoustic metal ceiling designed for special spaces

Trandar offers AFIBUS

an acoustic metal ceiling system featuring Micro Perforated Plate (MPP) technology, with over 300,000 micro-perforated acoustic holes per square meter

AFIBUS delivers an NRC of up to 0.7, effectively controlling reverberation, enhancing speech clarity, and creating a quiet, peaceful room atmosphere with acoustic quality suitable for executive boardrooms.

For this project,

Trandar selected the Amber Wood pattern, a custom-designed color tone created to maintain a warm, premium aesthetic aligned with the space's original design.

    

When material limitations become the starting point for new design

Due to structural limitations and installation conditions, AFIBUS could not be installed 100% according to the original material direction. The Trandar team therefore collaborated with the designers to adjust the “material core direction” to suit the actual site conditions.

The results are:

✔ Practical and feasible installation

✔ Preservation of the design aesthetics

✔ Maintenance of target acoustic performance

Wall and insulation systems for complete quietness

In addition to the AFIBUS ceiling, this project also incorporates the Trandar Hitech Wall system along with Alpha Phone insulation, a fire-retardant foil-faced glass wool insulation.

This enhances sound insulation performance between areas and improves long-term operational safety.
