G04 Training Room

Have you ever sat in a training room and felt that

the harder you try to listen, the more exhausted you get?

It's not because the content is difficult, but because the echo in the room forces the brain to work twice as hard to filter what is heard into coherent sentences. That is the real problem that occurred in training room G04,

a space where tablet milk manufacturing staff regularly come for training and skills development.

Room acoustics issues may sound like a minor matter, but in reality, they directly impact everyone's performance in the room. Speakers have to repeat themselves, participants have to strain to listen harder than usual, and ultimately everyone leaves the room exhausted when they should be gaining knowledge.

The Challenging Brief

The design team from Kananap Design, as the project's designers, faced two key challenges to solve simultaneously.

The first was to block external noise from leaking in and disturbing training sessions.

The second was to reduce echo and sound reflection within the room, maintaining an appropriate Reverberation time for listening and communication—all while preserving the aesthetic appeal of the space and ensuring user safety.

PPS stepped in as the technical consultant to assist with planning,

before coordinating with Trandar to present a solution that addresses both requirements simultaneously.

Trandar's Proposed Solution

Trandar divided the problem-solving approach into two complementary layers.

Layer One: Sound insulation with Trandar HitechWall

For external noise control, Trandar specified the TSIS71 and TSIS58 wall systems, part of the Trandar HitechWall system specifically designed for acoustic insulation. This system works by layering materials with Mass, Decoupling, and Damping properties, effectively blocking sound transmission, combined with the Trandar Ceiling System which systematically supports all types of ceiling installations.

Second Layer: Sound absorption with Trandar Zivana

Once the sound insulation issue was resolved, the next challenge was addressing interior reverberation. Trandar introduced Trandar Zivana, a naturally-derived material completely safe for occupants. What makes Zivana stand out in this project is its design flexibility. The design team wrapped Zivana in fabric according to the specified design, transforming an acoustic material into an integral part of aesthetic interior decoration rather than just a purely technical engineering product.

The result is a space that both looks great and sounds exceptional.

All installation work was executed by Italian-Thai as the Main Contractor, ensuring that every system was installed precisely in accordance with the specified Typical Details.

Results

Training Room G04 has been completely transformed. From a space plagued by echoes, it is now a fully compliant acoustic training facility. Speakers can speak at a normal volume without straining, listeners can hear clearly without needing to concentrate excessively, and everyone leaves the room having gained knowledge rather than fatigue from battling poor acoustics.

This project proves that good acoustic design does not start with materials, but with a true understanding of the users' needs.

Then, selecting solutions that comprehensively address sound quality, aesthetics, and safety all at once.
