Hosting a party downstairs, but can the upstairs bedroom still be quiet?

Many homes with banquet halls or entertainment areas often face a common problem:
When the downstairs space is in use, conversations, music, or kitchen noises often travel up and disturb the relaxation areas upstairs.
Therefore, the key question isn't just "how beautiful the house is,"
but rather how to design the entertainment and resting spaces to coexist harmoniously.
The GM88 Grand Monaco project is a prime example of interior design that prioritizes indoor sound control.
This house was designed with the entire ground floor dedicated to hosting and social gatherings, including:
A large banquet hall
Guest reception areas
A prep kitchen
Meanwhile, the entire upper floor consists of bedrooms, serving as the private retreat for family members.
This layout presents a major challenge: How to prevent noise from downstairs activities from disturbing the resting areas above
especially in areas like
Guests' conversation noise
Music
Kitchen equipment noise
Crowd movement noise
All of which can easily transmit through the building structure to upper floors if proper acoustic insulation systems are not designed.
For this project, the team chose Trandar's acoustic systems to help control inter-floor noise in the home.
An acoustic wall system that helps reduce sound transmission between areas.
Helps prevent noise from the banquet room and kitchen from penetrating through walls into other areas of the house.
The wall system is designed with a structure that helps absorb vibrations and reduce the transmission of sound waves, allowing different areas within the home to be used simultaneously without disturbing one another.

In addition to walls, sound control through the ceiling is also crucial, as a significant amount of sound can travel upward through the inter-floor structure.
Installing Trandar Hitech ceiling helps enhance the sound insulation system at the ground floor ceiling, acting to reduce sound transmission up to the bedrooms above.
The combination of acoustic walls and acoustic ceilings creates a more effective sound control system for large spaces.

After installing the Trandar Hitech wall and Trandar Hitech ceiling systems,
the ground floor area can be fully utilized as a banquet and guest-reception room, while the upstairs bedrooms maintain a peaceful atmosphere suitable for relaxation.
The results are:
Reduces noise from the banquet room so it does not disturb the upper floor.
Enhance privacy for each area within the home
Enable the home to support multiple activities simultaneously
The GM88 Grand Monaco project demonstrates that
good home design is not just about aesthetics or functionality
but also requires careful consideration of interior acoustic quality.
Integrating acoustics and sound insulation systems into the design helps different areas within the home function together in perfect harmony.
And this is another example of applying solutions from Trandar Acoustics to create a home environment that is both practical and offers acoustic quality tailored for living.
