📖 Project Story — When YAMAHA Refused to Compromise on Sound

YAMAHA is a name known to everyone in the music world. Confidence in this brand has been built on standards that have never diminished over decades, and when YAMAHA opened its music learning center at The Mall Thapra, they reaffirmed that those standards would never change.

However, creating music classrooms within a shopping mall space is not easy. With multiple rooms adjacent to each other, including drum rooms, piano rooms, and individual lesson rooms, the acoustic challenge was complex, requiring different approaches and materials for each area.

The Trandar team came in to design the entire acoustic system, precisely categorizing sound insulation levels according to the needs of each room.

🔊 The Challenge — Multiple Music Types in the Same Space

The problems of a music learning center are not one-dimensional, but have multiple levels that need to be managed simultaneously.

• Drum rooms are the most intense source of sound, both in loudness and in the vibration of low-frequency sounds that easily penetrate ordinary walls. If not managed, drum sounds will leak into all surrounding rooms, destroying the entire learning atmosphere.
• Group piano rooms require a space where sounds from multiple pianos do not become chaotic, while also needing to block out sounds from the adjacent drum room.
• Individual lesson rooms, although quieter, still require privacy and sufficient silence for one-on-one teaching that demands high concentration.

This challenge cannot be met by a single material — the design must be customized according to the function of each room.

🥁 Trandar HitechWall TSIS73 — For Drum Rooms and Group Piano Rooms

TSIS73 is the highest-level soundproofing wall system in this project, chosen for areas with the highest sound energy, such as drum rooms and group piano rooms.

With its multi-layered structure designed to block both high and low-frequency sounds from drumming, TSIS73 creates an acoustic barrier strong enough to ensure that even the loudest drum sounds in the center will never travel outside the room. At the same time, it also protects the drum and group piano rooms from external noise that might interrupt lessons.

🎹 Trandar HitechWall TSIS58 — For Individual Lesson Rooms

TSIS58 was chosen for individual lesson rooms, where the level of sound insulation needed is less than for drum rooms, but the need for subtle sound control is greater.

One-on-one music lessons require rooms where teachers and students can clearly hear every note, every tone, and every nuance of sound. TSIS58 provides sufficient sound insulation at a level that transforms every individual lesson room into a complete private space, without unnecessary over-investment.

✅ Trandar ZIVANA Wall System — Walls in Every Room, Every Area

While the first two systems block external sound, the ZIVANA Wall System controls the internal sound quality of the room.

Installed on the walls of every room in the music learning center, ZIVANA helps reduce sound reflection within the space, making the music heard in the room natural and balanced – not echoing or reverberating to the point of being difficult to listen to. When students play notes, what they hear is the true sound of the instrument, not a sound distorted by the room.
