SKV13 – Private Lounge Sukhumvit 13

“Looking for a party room that is both ‘quiet’ and ‘wowed’ at the same time… Is it really possible?”

When talking about a reception room or private lounge, what space owners want is not just aesthetics, but the “atmosphere” that makes every gathering more special than usual.

Both lighting, sound, and the feel of the space must work together. This is the starting point of the project SKV13 – Private Lounge on Sukhumvit 13

The Brief: A Party Room Where “Sound Must Be Good” and “Atmosphere Must Be Right” This space was designed as a host's reception room for socializing and parties, with two main requirements that had to be met simultaneously:

An outstanding atmosphere that creates an experience
Good sound quality without echo, not disturbing the usage

Because in a room of this nature, without proper sound control, conversations and music will echo back and forth, making the atmosphere “stuffy” and “uncomfortable to listen to.”

The Challenge: When the “Ceiling” Must Do More Than Ever Before What makes this project special is that the ceiling does not just absorb sound, but must be a “main design element” with key challenges:Namely:

Must be paintable to control the tone of the space
Must be able to install a large number of “lights” to create a “starry sky” effect
And these lights are relatively heavy, which ordinary acoustic ceilings cannot easily support

This is therefore a challenge that requires acoustic understanding + structural systems + design work

Solution: Seamless Supporting Both “Light” and “Sound” Trandar introduced Seamless Acoustics, Altarfire Series (Smooth Surface) so that the ceiling can perform all functions completely. Key highlights of the system in this project:

Seamless Surface Enables the ceiling to form a continuous, single surface, ideal for creating a "night sky" effect without distracting visual joints.
Supports Custom Painting and Design The surface can be painted as desired, adding depth to the room's design and clearly establishing the spatial mood.
Special Installation-Compatible Structure The system is engineered to accommodate specialized lighting fixtures with specific weights and positions, bringing the “starry sky design” to life within the space.
Acoustic Performance Despite additional design and installation work, the ceiling continues to absorb internal sound reflections, reducing echo and creating a natural conversational atmosphere.
