This is not just about annoyance, but about the quality of life stolen every day. And this is the story of a house that managed to get that quality of life back.

📖 Project Story — When the best location becomes the toughest noise challenge

Pracha Chuen Residence is a house that seems perfect in many dimensions. A location with excellent connectivity, easy access, and convenience. But there's one thing the numbers on paper couldn't tell about how challenging it was —

This house is in the Triangle of Noise.

On one side is the railway, with freight and passenger trains running day and night, bringing vibrations that aren't just heard, but felt in the body. On another side is the expressway, where engine noise and tire sounds hitting the road surface never stop. And overhead is the Skytrain, which, although quieter than general trains, still transmits structural noise and rail vibrations down to the ground.

The fact that this house is located at a point receiving noise from three sources simultaneously means there's no time of day when it's truly quiet.

🧩 The Complexity of Noise from Three Sources — Why it's much harder to solve than typical houses

Noise from each source has different characteristics and requires different management.

Trains generate both low-frequency noise and vibrations transmitted through the ground and building structure. It's a sound that's felt more than heard, and ordinary walls cannot block it.

Expressways create continuous noise across multiple frequencies simultaneously, including engine noise, tire noise, and wind noise from high speeds. It's a sound that finds every gap in walls and windows to seep through.

Even though Skytrain noise is less than the first two, the vibrations from the rails and steel structure travel through the air in a way that's difficult to detect.

This house required a system that could handle all three simultaneously, from all directions, 24 hours a day.

After detailed analysis of noise sources and the house structure, the Trandar team designed a system that blocks all pathways for sound to enter, both from the sides and from above.

Hitech Wall is designed to block sound traveling through walls at all frequencies, with a multi-layered structure that functions as a system, including reflection, absorption, and disruption of sound energy transmission through rigid structures.

What makes Hitech Wall particularly suitable for this project is its effectiveness in managing low-frequency noise and vibrations from trains and expressways, which are the most challenging sounds for ordinary walls to handle. When installed to cover all walls facing the noise sources, this house gains a robust all-around acoustic barrier.

✅ Trandar Hitech Ceiling — Because noise doesn't just come from the sides

Many often forget that noise from the Skytrain and expressway structures doesn't just come through walls but also travels from above, through the roof and ceiling.

Hitech Ceiling closes this last pathway, creating a horizontal acoustic barrier that works in conjunction with Hitech Wall on the walls. This truly envelops the entire house with a comprehensive soundproofing system, leaving no direction for external noise to find its way in.
