Echoing library, how to make it quiet and look beautiful at the same time?

In a world full of noise a quiet enough space… is the true luxury of learning

              The owner of the project is KIS International School Rainwood Park Co., Ltd. in collaboration with Reignwood Holding with IA49 as both the designer and consultant. The construction of the reception hall wall section was carried out by CA O CLOCK and the library section was carried out by Sri Thai.

              This project was not designed merely as a school building but was developed under the concept of Learning Environment Design the design of an environment that directly promotes learning in collaboration with Rosan Bosch, a world-renowned designer to create a space that stimulates creativity, problem-solving, and natural learning.

One of the important areas is the “library”

a space that requires both tranquility, concentration, and a sleek, clean, and luxurious image.

The key challenges for the designer were:
✔ Reduce reverberation within the reading area
✔ NRC value not less than 0.6
✔ No visible grid lines or ceiling joints
✔ Looking up provides a feeling of openness and comfort

Because in a reading area even a slight echo can disturb concentration.

                The chosen solution was not a typical prefabricated ceiling panel but Trandar Seamless Ceiling a seamless acoustic ceiling system that integrates Acoustic Performance with architectural design.
