“Your dream Home Studio doesn't have to be far away — it can be right in your home.”

Today, having your own private music practice space where you can play to your heart's content and maintain privacy is no longer difficult.
📖 The Project Story — When a musician's dream meets the reality of living next door
Every musician knows this feeling well —
The times one most wants to practice are often in the evenings after work, or on weekends when creativity naturally flows. But these are also the times when neighbors are relaxing, sleeping, or watching movies in their own homes.
The result is that many musicians have to choose between their dream and good relations with neighbors.
The owner of this project decided there was no need to choose.
🏠 A Different Challenge — Not building new, but a "smart" extension
Building a music practice room in an already extended home presents completely different challenges than building from scratch.
The original structure of the house was not designed to contain musical sound. The walls, floors, and roof of the extension are all points where sound can leak out to neighboring houses. And the closer the houses are in a community, the more a highly effective soundproofing system is needed to close every possible escape route for sound.
The Trandar team therefore chose to use two integrated systems to comprehensively solve this problem.

🛠 Chosen Soundproofing System — Two layers of protection
✅ Trandar Zoundboard — The first layer of sound containment
Zoundboard is a soundproofing material that acts as the first Mass Barrier, with a density and structure designed to block sound wave transmission through walls, especially low-frequency sounds like drums and bass, which are the primary culprits for leakage to surrounding areas.
Zoundboard is installed within the wall structure of the extension, creating a strong first Acoustic Barrier before sound has a chance to travel further.
✅ Trandar dBphon — The second layer that seals all gaps
For serious soundproofing, a single layer is not enough, and that's where Trandar dBphon comes in.
dBphon acts as an Acoustic Membrane that enhances soundproofing performance where Zoundboard might still have weak points, whether it's joints between materials, where the original structure and the extension meet, or areas where sound waves might bypass. The synergy of Zoundboard and dBphon creates a Double Layer soundproofing system that completely seals every potential sound leakage path.

🎸 Why a home practice room is harder than it seems — And why two layers are needed
Music isn't just airborne sound; it also travels through the building structure, known as Structure-borne Sound, which is vibration passing directly through concrete, wood, and metal to adjacent room walls.
This is why ordinary walls, even thick ones, cannot soundproof, because sound doesn't just "fly through" but also "runs through the walls."
Trandar's Zoundboard and dBphon systems manage both types of sound simultaneously: blocking airborne sound waves and reducing vibrations transmitted through the structure to surrounding areas.
✨ The Result — Practice every day, without watching the clock
After the Trandar system was completely installed, what changed wasn't just the measurable sound level, but the entire feeling of practicing music.
No more stopping mid-song for fear of neighbor complaints. No more checking the clock to see if it's too late. No more apologizing in the neighborhood chat after practice.
Just music — and a space that is truly their own.
"Home is where you should be most yourself — and for a musician, that means being able to play music without anyone's permission."
