When acoustic panels are not just for “reducing echo” but become part of the design

          Many people are familiar with the image of traditional acoustic panels installed on walls or ceilings to help reduce echoes within a space. However, nowadays, acoustic materials are no longer designed solely for function. Because today, sound-absorbing materials can also become an element of design.

This is the concept that arose in the project Cafe The Forebrains BTS Onnut, when the owner wanted to create a cafe space with both unique design and a comfortable acoustic atmosphere for use.

The Origin of the Idea: From Acoustic Material to Bar Counter Design

While selecting materials for decorating the space, the owner became interested in the texture and surface of the ZIVANA panels, which have a unique characteristic different from typical decorative materials.

Instead of just using them as sound-absorbing panels on walls or ceilings as in the past, the owner chose to incorporate Zivana as part of the bar counter design within the cafe.

The result is:

• A decorative surface with dimension and uniqueness
  

• A design that looks different from typical decorative materials

  More Than Just Decorative Material: ZIVANA's Sound-Absorbing Properties

  In addition to its beautiful surface, Zivana is also a material with properties that help absorb sound reflections within the space. This helps to create a more balanced acoustic atmosphere in the cafe, such as:

  The Cafe The Forebrains BTS Onnut project demonstrates that modern sound-absorbing materials are not limited to being installed on walls to solve sound problems. Instead, they can also be used as elements of interior decoration to create a unique identity for a space.
