MQDC (Magnolia Quality Development Corporation) is one of Thailand's most renowned premium real estate developers. A company that consistently builds luxury projects knows better than anyone that every single detail in a space is a form of non-verbal communication.

When it came time to design its own headquarters, MQDC refused to let anything fall short of perfection—including the acoustic quality of the workspace.

However, the brief was not simple: the ceiling was designed to expose building systems, such as pipes, wiring, and structures—a popular style in modern offices. At the same time, the space required effective reverberation control without compromising the meticulously planned overall design.

An exposed ceiling revealing building services is undoubtedly beautiful and unique, but it comes with a hidden cost—

Without sound-absorbing materials on the ceiling, sound waves from conversations, meetings, phone calls, and office equipment hit the ceiling and bounce back and forth repeatedly, causing overlapping echoes and reverberation. This forces employees to exert more energy to understand conversations, reduces concentration, and increases overall fatigue unconsciously.
