This was the design challenge for the Multipurpose Zone at Google Philippines, which needs to accommodate learning, meetings, and collaborative team activities.

When a single space must support "every activity"

Within the Google Philippines office, a Multipurpose Zone has been designed to serve a wide range of activities, such as:

• Classes and teaching
  

• Trainings or workshops
  

• Internal team meetings
  

• Employee collaborative activities
  

With such diverse applications, the space must be able to support both clear communicationand a comfortable atmosphere for use

However, when the space features an open-plan layout and accommodates a large number of users, interior reverberation becomes a critical factor that must be managed from the design stage

Acoustic Design Solutions for the Space

To control the sound within the Multipurpose Zone, Trandar ZIVANA was selected. It is an acoustic panel designed to helpabsorb reverberation within the space. The material structure is made of wood wool panels featuring an open structure. This property allows the panels toabsorb sound energy reflecting within the roomand effectively reduce echo issues.

When room reverberation is reduced,various activities within the Multipurpose Zone can proceed smoothly, whether it is
