📖 Project Story — When the 32nd-floor view is breathtaking, but the room acoustics ruin every meeting

Go Five at Dusit Central Park 32nd Floor is a premium workspace offering an unbeatable location and ambiance. However, one issue was quietly undermining the space's potential — unusable, echo-prone meeting rooms.

This meeting room has inherent acoustic challenges: a wide layout combined with a low ceiling. This proportion creates the worst environment for overlapping echoes, as sound waves leaving a speaker's mouth hit nearby walls and ceilings and reflect rapidly before the original sound finishes.

The existing standard gypsum ceiling offered zero sound-absorbing properties, reflecting 100% of the sound waves striking it. The result was a great-looking room that failed in practice—meetings were hard to follow, and training sessions fell short of requirements.

What many people don't know is that low ceilings and wide spaces are a recipe for echo problems.

When the distance between the floor and ceiling is small, sound waves take a very short time to hit the ceiling and bounce back down. This causes the reflected sound to reach the listener's ears faster than the brain can distinguish it as an echo rather than the original sound. Moreover, in a wide space, sound reflects off multiple walls as well.

The result is overlapping sounds that become unintelligible, and when multiple people speak at the same time in a meeting room, the situation worsens exponentially.

Series F is designed to be installed directly onto the existing ceiling, eliminating the need to tear down the old gypsum board. This reduces labor costs, construction time, and operational hassle, allowing the meeting room to return to service faster than expected.

✅ NRC 0.75 at O.D.S. 20mm — Real sound absorption that transforms the room

With a thickness of 20mm and an NRC rating of up to 0.75, it means 75% of the sound energy hitting the Series F surface is absorbed and dissipated, leaving only 25% reflected back.

From an original gypsum ceiling that reflected nearly 100% of sound to Series F which absorbs 75%, this difference is clear and noticeable from the very first step into the room.
