Today, we take you to explore another highlight project by Trandar: the renovation of the early years cafeteria at International School Bangkok (ISB), one of the country's leading international schools. Previously, ISB chose Trandar ZIVANA sound-absorbing ceiling systems for their Main Cafeteria zone, and subsequently planned to proceed with the renovation of the Elementary School Cafeteria (ES Cafeteria).

The interior features a modern design, transforming the cafeteria into something far beyond ordinary. It exudes a fun vibe with playful curved elements on the ceiling, designed by IA103. The complete makeover perfectly integrates two Trandar acoustic products.

The designers chose Trandar Series F sound-absorbing ceiling boards installed over gypsum and complemented by strip lighting designed as indirect lighting with soft, smooth curves that create a fluid feel. This gives the ES Cafeteria an aesthetically stunning, prominent, and uniquely attractive atmosphere, while also ensuring safety for students.

Right in this area, looking up, you will notice circular patterns on the ceiling. The designer incorporated Trandar ZIVANA wood wool panels installed as a baffle ceiling, which enhances the dimensional look of the ceiling design. These are also sound-absorbing acoustic panels, but they are made from a mixture of wood wool, magnesite, and water, giving a natural look that is ideal for school environments—especially in cafeterias like this, where high safety for children is paramount.

Trandar Series F and Trandar ZIVANA truly meet diverse functional requirements across various spaces. In ceiling design aimed at absorbing sound and reducing echoes and reverberation, they are frequently used for decorative purposes to create a beautiful indoor atmosphere while delivering functional benefits. They are well-suited for convention centers, exhibition halls, shopping malls, restaurants, studios, offices, fitness centers, as well as residential buildings.

Trandar Series F

Description

Trandar Series F acoustic ceiling is made from Akutex glass wool with high hygiene standards, modern design, and a smooth, beautiful surface. Featuring high hygienic performance, there is no need to worry about falling dust. It is certified by the Asthma and Allergy Association of Sweden as hypoallergenic, meeting green building standards that are friendly to health and the environment. Installed via a tongue-and-groove system, it reveals only a 4 mm V-Groove upon completion, ensuring easy and time-saving installation.

• Sound absorption coefficient (NRC) of not less than 0.75, which is twice as high as general ceilings

Trandar ZIVANA

Description

Zivana natural wood fiber acoustic panels are durable, offer excellent sound absorption, fire resistance, and are customizable. Wood Wool Panels are manufactured from high-quality wood fibers mixed with White Portland Cement, compressed and cured for strength, durability, and a natural surface texture. They provide both aesthetic appeal and exceptional acoustic performance, making them ideal for buildings that require both a quiet environment and distinctive design.

• Provides thermal insulation performance combined with sound absorption
• Weight ranges from 7.0 to 10.5 kg/m², depending on thickness and panel type

• A2-s1, d0 (For A2 grade panels – enhanced safety for public buildings)
