Phimai National Museum

but must also control 'sound' to be quiet enough... until stories from the past resonate in the visitor's heart ”

In designing the exhibition space of Phimai National Museum, Phimai District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province

a space filled with history, arts, culture, and stories from hundreds of years past, it must simultaneously accommodate a large number of visitors. Voices, footsteps, and indoor reverberation thus become challenges that require careful management.

The chosen materials must not only be "beautiful" but also feel natural, harmonize with the context of the location, and help absorb sound to reduce echoes and reverberation without disrupting the museum atmosphere.

The answer is Trandar Zivana, acoustic panels that meet both emotional and functional needs, applied in the highlight areas of the exhibition zone on both vertical and horizontal ceiling systems, covering over 390 square meters. The acoustic panels were intentionally painted to add dimension, beauty, and seamless integration with the overall design. The result is not just a quieter space, but a space where visitors can fully immerse themselves in historical stories. Echoes gradually fade away, leaving only the clearer sound of learning.
