When “Walls” and “Ceilings” do more than just enclose a space, but help design the room's acoustics
In a space like an auditorium, everything is designed to support communication—whether it's the stage, lighting, or audience seating. However, there is one element that is often not immediately visible: the room's surfaces. Because in a room with hard walls, high ceilings, and large open areas, sound easily bounces back and forth, creating echoes and reverberations that make listening unclear.
This was the challenge for the Cheer Viva Auditorium project, which aimed to create a performance and activity space with balanced sound quality and a seamless design throughout the room.

For this auditorium, the design concept did not just call for installing acoustic panels in certain spots, but rather integrating acoustic materials as an integral part of the room's design.

The design team therefore chose Trandar ZIVANA as the primary material for the space, installing it continuously from the walls up to the ceiling to create a visually seamless room surface.
This design approach allows:
The room surfaces to feature dimension and uniqueness
Acoustic materials to become an integral part of the design
While also effectively controlling the sound within the space at the same time.

In large spaces such as auditoriums, sound waves do not reflect from just one wall, but can bounce off walls, ceilings, and surrounding surfaces of the room.
Continuously installing Trandar ZIVANA on both walls and ceilings thus helps increase the sound-absorption surface area of the room efficiently.
The results are:
Reduction of echoes within the space
Reduce sound reflection from walls and ceilings
Enhance clarity for speech or music within the room
With this design approach, the auditorium space can support various activities with balanced acoustic quality.

The Cheer Viva Auditorium project demonstrates that modern sound-absorbing materials are no longer just hidden elements behind design. Instead, they can clearly become part of the spatial design language. When walls, ceilings, and acoustic systems are designed to work together, the space offers not only aesthetics but also acoustic quality tailored for practical use.
Because in an auditorium, good sound often begins with intentionally designed room surfaces.
