The Challenge: When Large Spaces Amplify Echoes

Auditoriums are typically large spaces featuring high ceilings and multiple hard surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, and floors.

These surfaces cause sound waves to bounce back and forth across the room, leading to issues such as:

Speech from the stage is unclear and difficult to understand
Overlapping sound reflections from musical performances
Excessive room reverberation that interferes with listening

For schools utilizing these spaces to host various activities, these acoustic problems can significantly impact communication quality and the audience's overall experience.

Solution Approach: Design of comprehensive wall and ceiling acoustic absorption systems

To control echo and reverberation within the auditorium, the team designed the installation of acoustic absorption materials in key areas of the space.
