Renovating office space into a meeting room may seem simple in terms of structure, but in terms of controlling the acoustic environment, it is more challenging than expected.
In the RIN at Raintree Office project, the design team converted the original office zone into a “meeting room” for business communication and decision-making. However, they clearly encountered an obstacle with “echoing noise,” preventing the meeting room from being used to its full potential.
Low ceiling of only 2.50 meters which causes sound waves to reflect back to the speaker quickly.
Two walls are full-height glass which is a sound-reflective material that causes sound to travel in repeated cycles within the room.
Vinyl tile flooring which, despite being easy to clean and durable, does not absorb sound.
Large glass door which becomes a channel for sound to disperse back into the room.
These factors continuously cause “echo” and “reverberation,” resulting in unclear listening in the meeting room, indistinct speech, and long-term auditory fatigue.
To enhance the sound quality within the meeting room, the team opted for Trandar Zivana Wall System
Once installed together as a solution, the sound absorption efficiency will be further improved.
Installing the sound absorption system in the area of the solid walls of the room significantly reduces the reverberation time (RT60), making communication in the meeting room clearer, and users feel more comfortable speaking, listening, and concentrating during meetings.
After installing the Trandar ZIVANA Wall System, the area that was once filled with echoes has been transformed into a meeting room that is “quiet and free from noise disturbance” and suitable for its primary purpose.
