Creating Acoustic Ceilings to Reduce Echo for Sukhumvit Hills Office
with Trandar AMF Star
Sukhumvit Hills is a Mixed Use building on Sukhumvit Road, 19 floors high
Developed by URBAN ONNUT COMPANY LIMITED and designed by SV Architects and Associates
It comprises over 10,000 square meters of office space for rent along with 90 hotel rooms

The main concept of the building is “embracing natural light” with a surrounding glass design
no internal columns and ceilings up to 3 meters high, which creates an airy, open, and comfortable atmosphere
However, at the same time, it creates challenges regarding sound reverberation within the workspace.
When sound quality is one of the important functions of a modern office
Trandar Acoustics has been involved since the design phase
by proposing the Trandar AMF Star acoustic ceiling system
which is a solution that addresses both acoustic performance and the building's image

On the 10th floor of the office zone
Trandar Star panels, size 1200 x 600 x 15 mm, T15 reveal edge type, were installed
together with Trandar Heplar Pro C Line ceiling framework and Trandar T Grid System T15
This acoustic ceiling system helps reduce reverberation and echo making the work environment quieter, softer, and more comfortable.
Suitable for work behaviors that require concentration and collaborative communication.

Details hidden beneath the ceiling
Trandar AMF Star is a high-quality acoustic ceiling with a smooth surface, dust-free, and no paper or cellulose content.
It undergoes a 2-step surface pressing process achieving a high NRC value of 0.60 according to ASTM C423 standard.
In addition, it has passed international health and environmental standards
including Low VOC Class A , Indoor Air Comfort Gold level as well as non-flammable properties and fire resistance for up to 60 minutes.
This helps increase safety confidence for building users in the long term.
Thinner ceiling lines… but a more premium overall look
Another highlight of this project is the use of a T-bar ceiling frame with a slim 15 mm face.
This helps reduce the dividing lines between ceiling panels making the overall ceiling look smooth, clean, and modern fitting perfectly with the building's architecture.

From Design to Real-World Performance
Trandar's role extends beyond merely supplying products but also involves working from the area analysis stage
performing simulations, training the installation team, up to on-site inspections.
The result is
an acoustic ceiling system that enhances the sound quality within the building promoting a better working experience
and reflects the concept of a modern office that prioritizes both “design” and “quality of life”.
